How it works

  1. Once you have provided a medical scheme patient with a service, you now need to claim for that service from the medical scheme as quickly as possible
  2. With MediSwitch, your practice is connected via (SEMS (Switch electronic Messaging System) – a secure and dedicated line
  3.  If you have a PMA (practice management application), then MediSwitch “talks” to the PMA, allowing you to submit your claim electronically. It does this by means of an API (application programme interface ) installed on your machine
  4. The medical scheme either processes claims in real time (giving you an immediate response) or in batches (providing a delayed response). However, you will receive an immediate from MediSwitch on all claims based on validation criteria of the schemes – so you’re always in control.
