WEBDesk: How to Access eRA’s

MediSwitch always strives to create a better working environment for our clients and in this regard our new look MediSwitch WEBDesk comes with an excellent new feature for viewing and printing medical scheme electronic remittance advices.

In addition to receiving your remittance advices via SwítchComm and SwítchComm Plus, all updated remittances from participating schemes (currently all MHG, Medihelp, Profmed and VMed administered schemes) are now also available at the click of a button via the MediSwitch WEBDesk.

To access your remittances via the WEBDesk you will need PDF reader software such as Adobe Acrobat Reader. Should you not have this software you can easily download a free copy from http://get.adobe.com/reader/

From Internet Explorer, go to www.switchonline.co.za (you need to use at least Internet Explorer Version 7 or higher). Log in using your ID and password (contact our Call Centre if you have not used WEBDesk and require login details).



On the options pane on the left hand side of your screen click on the Claims Online drop down box and select Medres/ERA as per the screen shot below:



A new Medres ERA Online Transaction Details Screen will display. Change only the date at the top as the bottom date will default to the current date. For instance if you are looking for a remittance for a payment received in October you would change the top date only to 2010/10/01. Leave the bottom date as is and scroll slightly to the right.



Under feedback type, click on the drop down box and select ERA. Then click on show. This will then pull up all available remittance advices in that date range in PDF format. You can then save, print or email the result as required.
